Tweens can also take part in our Tween Book Club taking place in May where they will be reading The Legend of Auntie Po by Shing Yin Khor.
The Legend of Auntie Po is part historical fiction, part magical realism, and 100% adventure. Thirteen-year-old Mei reimagines the myths of Paul Bunyan as starring a Chinese heroine while she works in a Sierra Nevada logging camp in 1885. Tweens will explore the themes of this book together using art, group discussions and games.
