Mad Honey is a writing collaboration between Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan and it lives up to its hype! From the first pages it took me on a journey with well-developed characters, a poignant plot, and a twist that left me breathless!

Picoult returns to her roots with a story that has moral, societal and personal implications for her characters and a court room battle for good measure. This is an unputdownable, well-researched story with thought-provoking topics, a murder mystery, characters you’ll connect with, and interesting tidbits about beekeeping that pairs well with WPL’s own beehive at our new Eastside branch. And the twist!?! Oh, my word! I am an avid reader and it was one of the BEST twists I have ever read and changes the trajectory of the story in a very important way. 

I strongly recommend going into this book blind and please do not read the authors’ notes at the end of the book before you start because they contain spoilers!

I have read 150 books this year and Mad Honey is easily in my top three favourite books of 2022. Yup, it’s that good.  WPL has many copies of this book in print, eBook, audio CD, and digital Audiobook so put a hold on this book as soon as possible and see what all the buzz is about!
